September 15, 2011 at 11:00 am #446729I haven’t done one of these yet but basically you are converting your Civic to an Integra, so a lot of the parts will be Integra parts, axles, mounts, tranmission, etc.
If your car is OBD1 stick with that. Buy whatever parts you need to make the engine OBD1. As far as ECUs go I think you be good with a Civic or Integra LS computer, but you might end up having to “chip” the ECU to get everything perfect, depending on what exactly you do. There is loads of information on Honda Forums. A B18 is a common swap. Good luck.

September 27, 2011 at 11:00 am #446731Unless you are a master at running wires and sensors and such, don’t try and convert an OBD 1 car over to OBD 2. It’s neither cost effective nor practical to do so. If I rememeber correctly, you can run a B18 with an OBD 1 ECU. As far as needing the subframe for the swap, I’m not sure. I imagine that you could get yourself a front clip from an Integra which would basically everything forward of the windshield and swap over the parts that you needed. There’s a Civic hatchback of indeterminate year around where I live with a complete Integra front end on it. I’m talking, hood, headlights, fenders, bumper, drivetrain, everything.
October 1, 2011 at 11:00 am #446732I have not done this kind of swap before but it has been done before. I would definitely recommand picking up a few books such as honda engine swaps and honda/acura engine performance I know there are a few others that are good books. I would highly recommand staying obd1 because these are much easier to get tuned. You didn’t say if you are doing a b18a/b or a b18c because it makes a difference doing those because if you are doing a b18c you will have to wire for vtec or get a vtec subwiring kit from one of hte many companies out there. I would diffenently visit some sites such as honda-tech, hondaswaps and hondahookup these sites have a lot of good info on swaps liek these if you cant find it on there you can find it by doing a good old fashion google search you will come through a lot of threads taht will have a list of waht you will need.
