check with insurance, some will not cover a salvage car. check with the liscence office, they might not put plates on a salvage car. depends on each province and state.

assuming you can licence and insure it (wouldnt be a problem here) keep it only if you plan to run the wheels off and not for resale value. your car could be a 12 second car on a drag strip by the time you are dont with it, and i wouldnt pay more than 1000.00 for it with a salvaged title. if your intentions is just to learn with it, and run it and if you blow it up or burn it down or run into a tree its no big loss type thing, then keep it. POS cars are great for learning all sorts of stuff on and if you screw it up, its no big thing.

+1, there’s just something great about a vehicle you can buy cheap and go nuts on. Sounds like a great find to me.

Sounds like a fun project, and you seem to understand the unfavourable economic issues. Are you prepared to replace the engine?

I think this is the second post that I’ve seen about this issue. Please keep everything all in one post. As I posted in your last thread salvage title cars rarely are a good deal and are mostly parts cars. You may be able to fix the issues but if you can’t register or insure it it’s no good to you anyway. Have fun but know what you’re getting into before you dump a bunch of money into it.
