I currently run a B18C5 engine (MT) that I swap from an Acura Integra 2000.
At inception the swap was great moved from a B16A4 MT up in cc’s.Now I am experiencing a rather elusive oil burning problem. Initially I found that the PCV valve was faulty. This fault was whereby the valve was allowing oil to pass through the breather chamber and enter the intake manifold. I have since replaced this valve and added an air oil separator after the valve as well.
Now when I push the car (pass 4k – 5k RPM) I get the signature blue smoke.
I have yet to do a compression test.
My question is if the oil leak is within the head and not in the crankcase (rings) how would I diagnose this?
On a side note, no oil burn if I run under 4k RPM.
