Honda Civic 2008 LED Headlights

Hi everyone!

I want to upgrade my headlight with the new SINGLE BEAM G6 2016 LED Headlight Kit from MotorFiend but in order to change all beams I will need to purchase 2 kits one for low beam and one for high beams.

But I came across these. Would this be a good idea to put this kit on high beams and get the G6 Led kit for low beams?

The G6 led are the better of the two. you won’t be happy with the 9005 ones
for headlights. They will barely be bright enough. The G6 ones I have and they are
good, But I ended up putting those in my fog lights and getting the HID kit for the low
beams. The led G6 are bright but the beam is only 180 so the projection in the housing
only gives half the beam in the housing. just my opinion. 🙂

Is the 9005 one brighter than stock? if not I’ll be better keep my original then.
I noticed that there’s two option for the led circuit CREE and Phillips. What’s the difference?

What are the disadvantage to not get a full 360 beam? I see that this has two led on each bulb so it got a full 360 beam. Would this be a better idea then?

I don’t believe the 9005 will be better than stock. The light will be whiter bight not brighter. Like I said,
I did not like the beam pattern of the 180 led in my headlights. I have a 2013 Altima. You may like it in
your vehicle. Phillips is supposed to be better than cree but cree is no slouch. As for the 360 beam being
better its what I would use but I can’t say the product is better without trying them. I’m not trying to bash
motor fiend just a product review from my experience. you may get the product and love it. I would find a
product like the G6 but with the 360 pattern and with at least 3100 or higher per bulb of lumens to use
for headlights.
