      Hey Eric,
I need your help with this one – I have a 2000 Honda Civic (EU1) LEV here in my workshop. It’s got a a problem with it’s idle. When you come to a stop it stalls out, or comes very close, it will stumble around and then return to normal idle until the next time you stop.

The car has a Check Engine Light on, which I have pulled the codes from with my scanner.

It’s giving me a P1166 & P1167 Code. Which is to do with the Primary 02 Sensor and heater circuit.
I’ve had this car in for the exact same problem in the past and I replaced the Primary O2 Sensor at that point and that stopped the light coming back on, however it did not fix the idle issue. But now the car is back with the same problem – when I replaced the O2 sensor the first time I used a genuine Honda one, however it was second hand. I was getting a reading from it when I installed it, but now there is nothing.

I know the wiring is fine as replacing the sensor last time sorted it. Do you think it was just bad luck with being a faulty sensor?
Apart from this the car is driving fine.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

      Kind Regards!
