Hi everyone I am posting this message in hope that someone can answer this question that has been killing me for the last 2 weeks.
I recently got my 92 Honda accord Ex 2.2L water pump replaced.

The TDC sensor is located in the Distributor, disconnect the 8 wire connector at the distributor and measure the resistance between the C terminal and G terminal of the distributor (TDC wires are org/blu, wht/blu), should be 260-500 ohms, if not in range replace the distributor. Also remove the distributor rotor and cover and look for oil that might have leaked into the distributor through the bearing , should be no oil.

I’m guessing you have an aftermarket distributor, if that is the case then that is the problem, I’ve seen it quite a few times hence the reason I only recommend OE replacement distributors for Hondas.
