I have a 1998 Honda Accord LX V-Tech 4 cylinders w/automatic transmission. Trying to replace CV axle on front driver side. CANNOT remove the inboard CV joint from the transmission. Tried prying, pulling, rotating the axle position, even attaching the axle to another car with strong rope and chain to pull it free. No success. Just broke the rope and the chain. Any idea how to get it off the tranny? What could be the cause of the problem? Car was having vibrations and noise when running at higher speeds. Outboard CV joint looks destroyed and leaking.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
