Ok i have been trying to get the causes of this but i do not get a list of what to start with..
1997 Honda Accord LX 2.2L 4CYL SOHC 160k(roughly)
My honda will most of the time start just fine (cold or hot) then there is times where it will crank and not start at all. Then there are more times where it hard starts bad, i turn the key, it cranks, turns over, and it turns on but it goes to really low RPM’s, the car shakes really bad,and starts to drop RPM’s til it shuts off, unless i depress the GAS pedal it sometimes works and will hesitantly start up and run fine. However when it does do this hard start, i hear like a squeak i think its just my belts because they squeak when the car turns on normally but i need help. Also i am pretty sure my fuel pump is fine, i can hear it click on and i can hear it turn on when i put my ear up to the gas cap.
I’ve been told its the Main Relay, got my dads honda’s relay (His starts fine, so i assume his is good, no cracks in the joints on the circuit board) and it still does this.
I’ve been told it might be my ECT Sensor, i hope it is this because you can hear when the car turns on like this, you hear like a gurgling of water sound, or like water rushing through a pipe or hose, i think its called flooding when the computer thinks the engine is too cold and floods it with fuel to try and start it, but i think i would get a CEL if this was bad? Yes? No?
So please someone give me a list of what this could be.

I would check for any codes even if the cel is not on. have you recently done any work related to the cooling system ? replace rad , hose(s) , waterpump , t/stat. if so you may have air in the cooling system and hondas hate that. might try bleeding the cooling system in any case. when the ect goes bad the idle usually stays high as the ecm cant tell the engine is warmed up so it keeps the idle up. you can test the ect senor with a dvom set to ohms.
I have recently looked at a sensor in my car and realized there is something wedged in the connector to it, i do not know the name of the sensor but here is the video that shows it, it cuts off because the video got corrupted when i downloaded it off my phone.

The car should idle high when started cold. FITV.With no starts or hard starts or any diagnosis it’s best to avoid making assumptions. You need to first start by gathering evidence. As for the no start there is a list of things to check in this video that might help you.
BTW if the main relay was causing the no start you would likely not have any fuel pressure because the main relay had not turned it on. This video shows a quick way to check fuel pressure on a Honda.
