I have a 1994 Honda Accord LX where it rotate but will not start. A lot of people said that it is my distributor and i change it with an aftermarket because i couldn’t afford a new one. When i put it in it still won’t start. I check my spark plugs wires and it is in the firing order but it won’t start. I bought the wires and spark plugs new too. Please help asap.

I was recently in Pittsburgh and my car just suddenly shut off, sounded like it was ABOUT to turn over but it couldn’t quite get there, hooked up a jumper wire and read the check engine light, looked it up, and it was just a crankshaft position sensor, could be the same for you! worth a check, just hook up a jumper wire or a diagnostics tool if you have it!

Could be out of gas (Just Saying), bad fuel pump, plugged fuel filter, broken timing belt “antid2” had a good point about the crankshaft position sensor. Same thing happened to me.

The engine turns over, but very slowly. (weak battery, worn starter, out of engine oil)

Can you hear the fuel pump run when you turn the key to the on position? Test for injector pulse using a small bulb called a noid light. If none found, check for power at one side of the injector with the key on.

Does it make any weird sounds when turning over, or sounds normal?
