I am looking at a honda accord 4 cylinder straight drive, that keeps cutting off. Its very random, the car will cut back on easily in about
2 mins I have checked all the connections, starter, battery, spark plug wires the ignition is working fine, nothing loose, I ran some lucas injector cleaner through it, the air intake hose was split so i replaced that about a week ago and it has stopped once since then. I have driven it twice about 10 to 15 miles and it ran perfectly. any input would help. could it be a bad distributor? There is a check engine light but its been on for years, a enhanced code, mfg specific, but this cutting off just started about 3 months ago. I have checked for vacuum leaks but haven;t found any???

doing a little more research, it could be a relay, a main cause for this problem in honda’s any thoughts on that, also maybe crankshaft position sensor??? any thoughts on that

You need to get those codes read. With out that, your just shooting in the dark. It may cost you a bit of cash, but it’ll be better than spending money on guesses. FYI a vacuum leak probably wouldn’t cause intermittent problems. Vacuum leaks, typically, will cause rough idle and acceleration issues.
