      Hi Guys,
I have just recently finished a 1993 Honda Accord F22a Engine build. The issue i Am having is if you leave the car at idle, when the car comes up to temperature the fans should kick in to cool the radiator. However in my case they are not. I have gone back through the system and checked the relay, and fuses etc with still no luck. The next thing I resulted to was replacing the Coolant Temperature Sensor on the Thermostat housing today… but still no luck. I understand on my engine their are two… I haven’t replaced the other sensor on the head, but thought I would ask everyone for their input on this one. I might add that the fans do work, because they come on as they should with the Air Conditioning, just not with the water temp.

I would start with testing the sensor . You can test your ECT sensor with a DMM set to ohms. Your resistance values should change with temperature.

Step 1. Anytime you open the cooling system for service you need to purge the air, if not problems will result.
