Hi Guys, I just want some pointers on a clunk i’m getting. This happens only under acceleration, or first thing in the morning when I put the car in reverse to move it out of the garage. If I have the car in Drive and accelerate moderately, sometimes there is a loud clunk. Unfortunately I don’t have a fancy gadget like a Chassis Ear, but it sounds like its coming from the center of the engine. I had someone stand beside the car while I accelerated hard while they observed. And they seemed to think it came from the center? When i’m sitting in the car on my own (This is a right hand drive) it sounds like its coming more from the passengers side. I was leaning towards the engine mounts as the car had been in a serious crash at 80km/h to a dead stop. I can’t really asses the rear engine mount but does anyone have any other pointers??
