Pfft, we’re being replaced 🙂
Nah, we just work longer hours C:P
March 14, 2012 at 11:00 am #446245start with searching for vacuum leaks. also check your( Iac) idle air control valve .perform a power balance test. take a look at these
videos that Eric has made.they will guide you in your diagnostic. good luck and keep us posted. C8-)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CPqbaSg … plpp_video vacuum leaks

March 14, 2012 at 11:00 am #446246Great post above. The power balance test would be first on my list.

March 17, 2012 at 11:00 am #446252Dear all,
Today i have try with power test and found last 2 plug from right hand having trouble. seem same phenomenon as in video.
when i pull out the plug cord. the engine is maintain and same to last plug. But when i pull out the cord for plug 1&2 the engine
become going to die.
I’m also open the 3& 4 plug and found full of carbon.
This plug just change few days ago.
1. Why plug full of carbon.
2.Is the because of poor contact at contact point.
3.Is there because of the plug cord is not good
4.Is there because of any air leakage.March 17, 2012 at 11:00 am #446253try searching for vacuum leaks? I would also clean the throttle body. . It sounds like you have a vacuum leak and the computer is trying to compensate with fuel. also when was the last time the car had a tune up? cap, rotor wires. is your check engine light on? if so post the codes.C8-)

March 17, 2012 at 11:00 am #446254If you found a cylinder where there is no change in RPM when you did the power balance test, you need to stress test the ignition system for that cylinder as well as checking to make sure you have a injector pulse width and a functioning injector.

So it sounds like you’re running on two cylinders. Have you tuned up the car? Plugs and quality wires may be all you need. The carbon on the plugs is from unburned fuel if you have two dead holes.

Dude, I was just messing with ya. It’s nice to get everyone involved. This is ‘our’ forum. The whole community, and I more than appreciate your input. Keep up the good work boss 🙂
March 19, 2012 at 11:00 am #446257If you have 2 plugs that aren’t firing you might want to check the distributor cap OR the wires going to those cylinders, you can do this with a voltage leak test, here’s a video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-U9WqJfaJsI would also like to stress that using OE parts on Honda ignition systems is the way to go so I hope you used NGK or Nippon Denso plugs you won’t regret it if you did.
March 21, 2012 at 11:00 am #446258?Dear all,
Thank you very much for the feed back.
At first I just follow what the college man proposed in last Saturday.
1. to look for any vacuum leak
I fail to do so…it’s hard for me to find it.I don’t know where to start.2. To clean throttled body.
I manage to clean on the top of carburetor but the throttled is deep inside the carburetor.
I just clean by wiping it ( Cloth and Thinner )
While i fixed back the air filter, i notice that my air filter is broken.
Are this may cause the engine in high rpm?
The result of this step has caused the engine are smooth but with 1000rpm ( with aircond is on )and 1050rpm without
aircond.Last night I did proceed what has been proposed by EricTheCarGuy
To check for any voltage leakage by spraying water from the distributor and plug cord.
and found nothing of any voltage leakage.additional question….
Why for honda accord air filter become oily.( contact with engine oil)
Can we stop the engine oil from entering inside the air filter box.Untill today i still not yet change the air filter.perhaps this coming Saturday.

March 21, 2012 at 11:00 am #446259If you have oil on your air filter, that is usually a sign of a failing PCV system. I would check your PCV system for operation.
