I don’t know Honda connectors specifically, but there should be a way to release the pins from the connector. On the GM’s I’ve messed with, there was a clip that slid out from the side, and you had to use a small pin or the like to push the wire out of the back side of the connector. You may want to look into getting a new connector with pigtails, and just soldering it in place of the old one, and make sure you use some heatshrink to seal up the solder joints.

February 6, 2012 at 11:00 am #446233I think I’m going to get another connector and solder the wires. Then I can play around with getting the connectors out. I figure it shouldn’t be this hard to get them out of the housing. I’ll try to post some pictures of the connector. Thanks for the suggestions

Good luck.

February 7, 2012 at 11:00 am #446234if you want to remove the pins to solder the wire you need to find out what size they are. if they are heavy round then they are .093 if you search molex
pin removal tool.they do make tools to remove these pins.but to buy them for one time might not be cost effective.if you can find another connector
with the wires intact then you could splice the wires in. not the best way but what can you do.just solder the wires and use heat shrink wrap.good
luck and keep us posted C8-)February 17, 2012 at 11:00 am #446237I was able to pickup a connector and the intake temperature sensor from the junk yard and then followed Eric’s video for soldering the wires together along with the heat shrink sleeves. Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Now I can attack the connector to figure out how it’s supposed to come apart.
