Im having an issue where my holley 1904 isnt squirting fuel at all into the bowl. brand-new fuel pump. What is something inside the carb that can be causing the problem? It ran last night without any problems driving it. today running it this morning kept dying on me.

It could be a stuck float. see if this helps.

I looked at that video. I took it all apart. and what I found was shocking. When I rebuilt it, a screw got into one of the cavities of the valve body. one of the screws that I lost. why it wasn’t squirting is the assembly that squirts it at an angle was put on backwards. charging up the battery and see how she runs. I can’t believe it ran with that screw stuck!

Fires up now. Problem was the distributor went at 180 again. this is the 3rd or 4th time its done this when I kill the engine. I did it one time driving a few months back. How can I dianoise the difference between a bad timing chain and a bad distrubutor gear? I’m thinking its a sign of a bad timing chain. what do you think?

Is the distributor hold down tight? here is a video for timing
chain slack. You would need to pull the distributor to inspect
                the gear.
