Hissing Noise

I hear a hissing noise especially when I have the heat on when I press down on the accelerator. I’m not sure if it is the heater core but I don’t see or feel moisture on the carpet below the glove box. There was one time when steam came out of the vents. I’ve noticed that i’m not loosing any antifreeze also.

Depending on what kind of car this is? You may have a
vacuum leak in the selector switch or a vacuum solenoid
for damper control.
