Seems there is interest on this subject concerning the Honda Odyssey. I have a 2010 Odyssey that now has this problem of vibration and steering wheel shaking during high speed braking. Now I have new rear shocks, new front struts, new tires, new lower control arms, new anti-sway connectors and bushings and an alignment. I guess now I’m going to have to replace the brake pads and rotors even though they don’t look like they are needing them. I was wondering if there is something else I need to consider concerning this problem. I recently set my emergency brake but not sure if there is something that needs my attention. Today I had my alternator go bad traveling down the highway and ran on battery power for almost 75 miles. Luckily it was a new battery I just installed. Just the local auto supply store was out of that alternator so had to find another store, they got me a decent mechanic and we were able to replace that so I could get home. Really grateful for those guys. Now to address the braking problem. Any thoughts?

I would suggest a full brake inspection.
Check the calipers for any signs of binding, slide pis move freely, no rust jacking on the brake hardware or pads.
Free movement of the pads themselves.
Also check the wheel bearings for any play along with inspecting the axles.I took advice to replace the brakes and installed new rotors. Eric recommends using silicone paste to lubricate the slides in the brake calipers. It’s been a change from night to day with the change in driving this vehicle. No more shaking when braking. Looked like I didn’t need a brake job but having the inferior parts removed and installing superior parts is worth the money. Highly recommend using the best parts you can buy.
