Hey Guys,
I’ve a 1988 full-sized Bronco with a 351W and C6. It’s had just about everything replaced, but doesn’t actually get much use (1000/yr if it’s lucky). One reason is that it has a weird idle problem. It wants to idle at 2000-2500 RPM. At first, I thought it was the IAC, but after replacing that, no change. I’ve thought it might be a vacuum leak, or plenum gasket, but when I test for it, I can’t find even an hint of one (I used propane and a rubber tube to isolate each area).
Anyone else have any good ideas?
