Eric, your vid on installing HIDs without a projector was awesome. In fact as soon as I get spare cash Im putting a set in my Jetta. Always wanted them but I too was under the impression you had to have a projector, and all the projectors for MK4 Jettas are butt ugly. Well I guess yu technically did have to until Motorfiend released their kit. Anyway I noticed that there is STILL arguments abou needing a projector, and since you have the JDM projectors in the Subaru, why not install a kit in there and prove that the light pattern is the same?

The projector beams in the Subaru have very different bulbs. Also, I’m going to be doing a video of an HID fog light install on my Element. I think that should be more than enough HID for a while. Also, I don’t know if you caught this video.

        Thanks for the suggestion.

Oh yea I caught the vid. That was why I brought the topic up, cuz you were talking about the projectors and reflectors. I cant wait to see the HID fogs. Also I dont know if you would have an answer for this without testing but I keep hearing opposing opinions on whether or not lower K numbers are better for poor weather visibility or high Kelvins. Seems to me that the 3000k yellow would be awesome in the rain or snow. I had standard halogen 6 inch fogs on my truck and when I swapped to a yellow lens I could see much better in bad stuff. Especially snow. Think I may do 6000K headlights and 3000K fogs on my Jetta

That’s true. I started out with an 8000K kit and it was difficult to see in the rain. I now have 4300K and I’m much happier.
