Depends on the kit you installed. If it was a simple plug and play,
then that should be it… just plug and turn on.

Depending on the quality of the kit and how bad it was knocked around
during shipment, there could be a number of problems.

Bad ballast, bad bulbs, poor connection, wrong wattage of bulbs to ballast.
Or it could be something as simple a the bulbs simply need to warm up,
especially if its there first start up.

I’m assuming you have pulled out regular halogen lights and replaced them
with a HID system. Keep in mind, your headlight housing was never designed for HID bulbs and the light will not be focused the way a proper HID system works. AIM AND RE AIM your headlights BEFORE you put your car into traffic so you don’t burn out the retinas of other oncoming drivers and possibly causing them to crash their cars.

If neither light is working, both are just a quick flash, I would verify that the bulbs and ballasts are compatible (like not a 35w ballast with a 55w bulb), and your wiring harness power and ground connections are good. If you have a relay in the circuit, check that as well.

Is your circuit getting power from the battery, or are you drawing directly off the headlight circuit? If you don’t have a separate power connection to the battery, you might be drawing too much through the headlight circuit.

No the kit never worked just a quick flash thats it . I tested to make sure I was getting power to the bulbs which I am just seems like it is not enough to ignite the bulbs? I contacted the company and they are gonna send me another wiring harness I’m hoping this will fix the problem. The kit I got was this ALL NEW 9007 HB5 Bi-Xenon H/L HID Slim Kit 10000K Deep Blue Headlight S6 on ebay trying to get this kit to work in a 2001 mercury sable. If anyone else here has any other ideas why this will not work please let me know.

check that you have 12v going to the ballast.
keep us posted on your progress.
