My 1993, 3.5L, V6 Dodge Intrepid has had no engine problems. Lately however, I noticed that as I acelerate slowly,……………or, at very rare times, at cruising speed, I notice the engine suddenly jolts me a litle bit because of some “HICCUP-like” sensation. It feels like the engine quits just a few milli-seconds but recovers as fast as the hiccups occured. Other than this, the engine runs almost perfectly !

What seems to be the trouble with the car ?

      Thanks,

      Sal

This is a hard call. No check engine light? Try checking the TPS.
Also check that the linkage and throttle plate move free and not binding.

That could be a lot of things honesty. It could be a misfire, a transmission problem, or perhaps an ignition problem. If you don’t have any check engine lights on to help you nail it down, you may need to wait for it to get worse and more consistent before you can find the problem. There are some things to check in the article College man posted that could be helpful.

Good luck and keep us posted.
