Figured I’d swing over here and introduce myself. Watched a lot of Eric’s videos, very informative, only directly used a couple though.

My car’s a ’87 Corolla (sedan, 1.6L carb engine, manual transmission, no power steering/AC/anything fancy) I bought for $300 to learn to repair cars and drive a stick after the Windstar I was given blew the transmission (3 weeks after I had the rear brakes entirely redone, no less). So far, diagnosed a no-start (ended up being the battery despite it passing an auto parts store test) and changed thermostat/coolant/oil on it. Looking forward (as much as you can look forward to having broke parts on a car) to learning about/performing further things on it.

      Cheers!

Howdy Scott! I had a 93 Corolla and I couldn’t make it stop running! My son wrecked in 06 as I recall. At that time it still ran great but sounded like an airplane. Probably a hole in the manifold but I was going through a divorce and it was a back-up to my back-up car so I sold it for a few hundred to a parts yard since I only had liability on it and insurance didn’t cover the loss. I loved that car though.
