Hi everyone, I’m josh
I am originally from Eastern Canada but am in the process of moving to California (Fresno area) with my wife and son who are from here.
I am a Apprentice Electrician by trade and have never really gotten into mechanics further than small engine stuff (snowmobiles, lawnmowers and chainsaws) and of course tire changes twice a year. The rest to me was to messy and finicky to really want to look at and my mom always having a newer car didnt give me much incentive to get into it.So now I’m here in Cali attempting not to die of heatstroke and unable to work for the time being. Now. The wife and i have inherited a fairly nice 1998 Olds Cutlass V6 3.1L with 122k miles that ran great until recently, and not being in a great place at the moment it falls on me and my very zealous 2 year old son to keep her on the road and hopefully fix the ac. So here i find myself looking for any tips tricks and advice for the problems that creep up and maybe someday soon i hope ill have caught up to the neglect the car has gotten in the past 18 years and be able to call myself some what of a mechanic.
I am very great full for all the helpful people on this forum and for Eric the car guy who’s videos make it possible for people like me to learn what it takes to keep my own car on the road. Thank you
Josh
