Need to get me some air compressor. I’d like one that’s relatively quiet, has enough cfm to run say a nailer or a ratchet or a die grinder and keep up, and isn’t IR because I can’t afford IR. Needs to be inexpensive.

The HF oiled 21 gal has been spoken of fondly but it’s LOUD as in LOUD. Neighbors will sh*t a brick. The Husky oilless is supposed to be quieter but from the videos online I can’t tell. Oilless is supposed to be louder than oiled. So I dunno. I really don’t want to spend over $200 for it. It will serve as the garage air supply, and likely will not be used heavily. Anyone have any suggestions?

Pretty much any air compressor is going to be loud unless its an oiled twin cylinder V style run a 3 -4hp washing machine motor on it mounted with rubber feet. With the tank mounted in rubber before the floor. Even then it is going to make some noise.
