I’m Kazuo Kuroi (kah-zoo-oh koo-roy), a 21 year old automotive enthusiast who currently owns a 1991 Honda Prelude SI and a 2008 Mazda3. I’ve been introduced to EricTheCarGuy videos by Jalopnik, there was one blog on there about how Scotty Kilmer is a moron ( The opinion of the blog post author, although one I concur with ) and Eric’s videos were mentioned. Despite my name, I’m Cuban and Irish, not a lick of Japanese. The name is a long story, but it is my legal name.
Background about me:
Been raised around cars, and I’ve worked briefly in the automotive field – I worked in a Jiffy Lube, saw a bunch of shady BS I reported to the district manager, got fired, picked up by CarMax as an entry level automotive tech, left when that branch closed down. I’m located outside the Virginia Beach area, and now work a variety of freelance and odd jobs. I’d not mind good automotive tech job again, but I’m moving soon, so no point in wasting someone’s time. I like to learn, and I have done a lot of stuff on cars, including brakes, CV axles, belts, fluids. Biggest jobs I’ve done have been clutch changes on FWD cars, engine mount replacements which required engine hoists due to owner having a lowered car and the lift being in use, a variety of electrical gremlin work, and other moderately hard stuff like that.
I definitely have a preference for imports. I’ve owned and driven GM, Chrysler, Mercedes, VW, Mazda, Toyota, Honda, BMW ( first car was a 1995 e34 530i ), Mitsubishi. I hope I can be of assistance if someone encounters an issue I’ve seen before, and I hope to learn from others and hopefully suggest good discussions/repair topics for Eric’s vids.
