I have an 2008 Chevy Silverado. For whatever reason it doesn’t want to start and truck is completely dead. Nothing turns on the truck. Battery is new and charged. Terminals are clean and battery posts also. I don’t if this is normal but the ground terminal is warm to touch. The positive terminal cable is cold. Pretty much stuck and don’t know how to proceed

When you say everything is dead, Does it crank not start or no crank no start?

Will the headlights come on ?

You said good battery & it is charged ? How do you know ? Did you put a battery charger on it ? Are the connections from the battery terminal to battery cable clamps good , clean & tight ? No corrosion ?

If so , get a set of jumper cables . Jumper from the – battery terminal to a good shiny engine ground . Try starting it .

If you have a remote + terminal , jumper from the + battery terminal to it . If not try to jumper to the + to the starter solenoid . Try starting it .

                Please report back .

                God bless

P S College Man , that is a very good video . It probably achieves better , what I described . Maybe faster too .

It’s not starting because she knows you’re not going to use her blinkers – ever. One less pickup on the road making our freeways and highways safer.

This is NOT the place for that.

If you replaced your battery, start there, by checking your terminals and connections. Both for corrosion and connection. Just remember they don’t have to be super tight. If it is a connection issue, playing with either one may cause everything to click on. Because it’s new it doesn’t necessarily mean that it was fully charged. That being said, I would focus on the connections nearest the battery first and foremost.
