I am working on replacing the rear pinion seal on my 99 grand cherokee with a 35c rear axle. I have this part that I damaged while pulling the seal and I have no ideal what to call it. It is a small circular cap that fit over the seal, in between the seal and the yoke. It looks like a oil slinger or shield. When I look at a diagram of my axle it doesn’t show there is suppose to be anything between the yoke and the seal. No part number on it. Any help naming it would be helpful. Thanks.
