Help to understand …..

A friend of mine was driving his late model Ford Pick up truck. This keeps his ride in tip top condition. While he was on the highway he heard a sound of something rattling in the back. Thank suddenly his brakes locked up.

He took it to the Ford dealer and they told him that it was Magnitronic. What does that mean ? He decided that he was not going to ever deal with that truck again and took out another truck. Please let me know what you think.

If I remember correctly. A Magnetronic is the ignition or something to do with the ignition. I don’t know how that would affect with the brakes locking up or the rattling noise.

It has something to do with the ignition components.
That would not cause the rear brakes to lock up. Sounds
like the rear end busted and locked up.

It’s 2011 almost new.

Those trucks have electronic differentials I believe.

Well I would think the rear end would break etc if the E-Diff locked while doing highway speeds or something of that nature.
