      Hey everyone, I’m in dire need of help with my car.. Long story short, merging with traffic, accelerating to 5000RPM, then lost most of my engine power. Cylinders 2 and 4 are misfiring constantly. This is a 2009 Toyota Corolla with the 1.8L engine. It seems as though the valve stem caps came off or something. Something isn’t working correctly..

        Will do Eric, and yes, the ‘sudden’ acceleration was due to people having 2 floor mats in their car. I consider myself blessed that I don’t have to completely rebuild the top end of the engine.
