      Do 99 lincoln town cars really have 4 cat convertors?? if so how can i know which convertors need replaced… my exauast is all messsed up.. and alot of codes for cat convertors.. and major loss of power…

        Yes, but you have to replace 2 as you cannot buy just 1 because they are connected.

        You should have an engine code for oxygen sensor for being below threshold on either bank 1 or bank 2, this will tell you what side the cats need to be replaced on, I think bank 1 might be the passenger side…

        To make sure find the distributor cap and follow the plug wire with the 1 marked near the wire, which ever side the of the engine spark plug “1” is on then that SHOULD be the side your bank 1 is…

        iirc then:

        p0420 – bank 1
        p0430 – bank 2

        Also note, that if your car is not over heating then it could very well just be an o2 sensor.

          It looks like two cats. I think the other piece is a resonator.
          either way the two pieces are together. what codes do you have?
