So I have been watch ETCG for some time now, and I really feel bad for him some time when I see him crawling around on the ground. I work on cars for a living a cannot image doing that every day without a lift.
So I was thinking of starting a fund to help him get a lift
2 Questions though:
1. Would anyone else donate?
2. Eric, do you want a lift and would you accept donations to get one?Currently, there are 10,000 registered users on the forum. Just think if everyone donated $1 to the cause. Obviously every user wouldn’t donate. But what if several thousand people donated 1-5 bucks. That would cover the cost of the lift.
I would be willing to start the fund off at 20 or 30 bucks, make a Youtube video to help promote it, and post an ad on my website to help donations come in.
But if no one else would donate, it’s a lost cause.
Let me know what you think.

Although I do agree with the cause, it is quite possible that eric would not accept nor would he even want a lift:
Eric wants his viewers to feel that they are with him all the way and i understand that. Since most viewers don’t have a lift he wants them to see how he crawls around to do repairs and in a safe way so they understand everything that’s involved.
That said..I have been slugging away at cars for 45+ years and most of my body parts are toast from all the abuse over that time. Some of Erics videos make me cringe when i see what he does but i respect his reasons why.
If he ever gives in on the issue i will be the first person to donate to purchase a lift for him.

I noticed that you shop has no lifts which is cool. I am looking to get a shop like yours. Is you shop classified as a workshop instead of a garage. Please let my know. Thanks in advance.

In my mind ramps are only good for oil changes at best. Not to mention they’re dangerous. I’m very happy with my jack and jack stands and I’m in no hurry to change. Thanks for the suggestion.

My shop was made to work on tractor trailers. The owner owns a trucking company. As far as I know there is no classification.
