To All My Fellow Motor Heads,
I have 124k on my ’02 Honda Accord, which is an automatic(AT). When I drive it in normal driving conditions it is fine no problems, but when I got suck in traffic the other day for about an hour, I noticed the AT starting to slip gears. My diagnosis is that the AT was overheating, causing the slippage? I know that there is a AT filter in the transmission that could be clogged, which would limit the circulation of ATF thus prevent it from cooling down. DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS!!! PLEASE HELP!!! I am thinking about putting an inline filter where the ATF enters the ATF Cooler… PLEASE HELP!!! WHAT SHALL I DO!!?
Thank you,
