Guys, I’ve heard you make money depending on the time spent? That is, the faster you fix car the more you earn? Or something like this? I don’t understand, because i work by another system. I just take car, fix it and take my money. I don’t care about time.

I worked for a semi truck shop an some of us worked on commission an it was all about turn over get them done quick an get on to the next truck the more money u get.

This is really the wrong section to discuss this in but I will answer anyway. I will try to make it short and simple as it can get a lot more complicated.

When you get a car to repair and it pays 5 hours to complete and you can complete the job in 3 hours you get paid the 5 hours. You then move to the next repair.

Now… If the job pays 5 hours to complete and it takes you 8 hours you only get paid for 5 hours.

The incentive is there to work as fast and efficient as you can. The more jobs you can complete in a day the more money you make.

If you can do 12 hours worth of work in 8 hours you have had a good day.
