I’ve been enjoying Eric’s videos for some time & signed up y’day. I enjoy the relaxed delivery & obvious depth of knowledge & intelligence that is behind the delivery. It’s also helped me that his videos cover older vehicles, several of which overlap with a 99 Suburban I’ve had from new (& can’t get rid of as it is our dogs #1 ride & is my tow vehicle to the local ramp for a fishing boat) & now has occasional issues driven by old age and not enough use.

FWIW: The latest issue that drove me to Youtube and on to Eric’s site was a cranks / no start issue when I went to launch my boat last week after several weeks of no use. Lots of great info on the web & the site, but I have to say it got me “overintellectualizing” the problem. Turned out to be no more than a bad cap and rotor, which is where i would immediately have gone 20 years ago as I had spark and fuel but no start & as I live on the West Coast things have been pretty damp for a while now. With all the info on the web that describes elaborate testing and options for what could be wrong, rather than go with the basics, I dithered for 2 days over whether it was a fuel (pump or pressure) or timing (crank or cam sensor) issue & spent hours trying to prove them.
Lesson learned: Sometimes we need to just stick to the basics: damp / wet weather + no start = problem with the distributor +/or wires.
