I am an old gear head from Southern Indiana near Louisville Ky. I worked in auto repair back in the 80s in several independant shops and gas stations back when they did repairs. In high school I fooled with small block Chevys a bit. I grew up on a farm where there was always something in need of repair. I now work in an electrical control shop where we build control panels to run conveyors and automation systems.
I have been reading a lot about computer control systems and found Eric’s website. It has been a great learning tool for me.
I keep my family,s and several friends cars running and really enjoy troubleshooting electric problems. Home fixing brakes, water pumps ect. saves us some money. I will do some front end repairs and an occasional valve job but my overhaul days are most likely gone.
My main ride is a 92 cutlass cirea 3.3 with 150000 miles. My 89 Dakota 3.9 has 249000
and my 2008 caravan has 60000. I also have a 59 and 74 Ford tractor and a Kawasaki four wheeler.
I keep cars a long time and run them till they are used up.
