      Hi
Ok so love your informative mechanics on youtube, I have a question? Yes I know I’m female and blonde but not a dumb blonde, and just taken my 1996 Rav 4 for a Warrant of fitness to be told I have oil contamination of power steering belt and pump which I find strange as I am not putting any extra oil in than usual and have no oil drips on my driveway…so my question is! Would I notice oil drips and having to put more oil in my car than usual or is this guy just fobbing me off hoping for repair. Also states my alternator belt is perished which he didnt use as a fail but just a warning I took a look and it looks pretty ok to me cannot see any signs of wear, used your youtube vid Eric to locate which belt he meant.Would love to hear any comments on this problem and many thanks in advance

You may have an oil leak that may not drip or run but is in the form
of oil mist. If it indeed on the belt you should be able to put your
finger across the belt and feel it with engine off or use a white
paper towel. see if this link helps more.
