Heater Core or my car is producing free coolant?

Hello Everybody!
I have a Mitsubishi lancer 1998 sedan.
The heater core looks to be already bypassed and yet my car is leaking inside.
Iv’e looked online and can’t find any other reason why the car would be leaking and I mean really leaking like flooding my car to the point where I came back after three weeks and a colony of mold infiltrated my car 🙁

I took photos ( 3 photos attached ) of the bypass and the passenger side as well.

Any suggestions? I would really appreciate the help 🙂

The weirdest thing I’ve seen happened in my brother’s 85 BMW. He was having a coolant leak in cabin, and could not find the source. It wasn’t coming from the heater core at all. I didn’t find the answer till I chopped the car up for scrap metal. His coolant reservoir bottle, which he didn’t think it even had one, was hidden in the right, rear wheel well. The lines for the coolant bottle was going through the right side body channel, completely inaccessible. It was that line that was leaking.

For yours, I’m not sure, but maybe the heater core isn’t empty yet. At least it doesn’t look like you have my brother’s problem.

You still have heater core connectors on the firewall. Maybe try to use a siphon pump to remove any remaining coolant. Otherwise, it might be water from the air conditioner evaporator or the windshield drains mixing with old coolant residue from past leaks.
