      is it possible for heater core to leak. but carpet is bone dry.

        Its very possible for a heater core to develop a leak.

          Antifreeze in the A/C drain?

            Is any antifreeze making it to the ground under the vehicle? While it may be possible, I’d think it unlikely, as the coolant pipes and core are under some pressure when car is at normal temp. How much coolant are you losing over time?
