Heat Shielding

I’ve watched the video on clamping down rattling heat shielding but my car has heat shielding above the exhaust which is a very thin aluminium. This has torn at the rivets and is touching on the exhaust and it sounds like a Caribbean steel drum.

Would I get away with removing this?

I would keep it on. put in new rivits or replace with washer and sheet metal screw in same rivit hole if you can. They put the heat shield there for a reason so try to keep it on. Good luck.
