that they can honestly say worked to stop a crank seal leak. I put a valve cover gasket on the metro and now that isn’t leaking but there is a pretty good leak going from the crank seal and before I waste any money on that stuff and before I invest the time and money into an old beater type car, although only has 90k on it…I know bars leaks has some fans, but ya never know if that is the sales team from the company posting stuff to sell product. Have you tried any that actually worked to reduce or stop crank seal oil leak??
Thx in advance for thoughts and ideas.

Hey, Can you tell me about this speedi sleeve, or is it just pretend, I never heard of it, but then, I probably wouldn’t have, if it is a new thing, I’m ancient

Speedi sleeves are ancient too. What can happen is the engine seal wears a groove in, as in the example above, the balancer. Remove harmonic balancer, mix some epoxy and slide on a thin metal sleeve. Eventually, the seal can cut the sleeve in two but in the mean time it is a fix.

They’re not used so much any more, I don’t know if it is better metal or better seals.

Thanks again for the info, Actually, if I got to the point to get off the hb, I would just replace the seal, I was just trying to get away with a couple months more on the car, tks again.
I’m gonna try the AT-205 as recommended by Kilmer and enough other people on Amazon, that they couldn’t all be employees of the ATP company. So for ten bucks, it’s worth a try, if only to prove to myself that it does or does not work.
I don’t have much faith in sealing chemicals, I tend to agree with Eric and just replace the bad part, but I’m trying to get away with not doing the work on this old beater that I’m only gonna have for a couple more months,
I’m just tired of it oiling the driveway. So. I’ll for sure report back either way, thanks again for your help and comments,
              Take Care,
              Terry

I have used “Rislone Concentrated Rear Main Seal Repair”; I believe down in the US they call it “Bars Concentrated Rear Main Seal Repair” I have had good luck with this product in the past; used it in my Honda for the Front Crank Seal.

THanks very much, if the AT doesn’t do it, I’ll try that next. I figure if I spend under 50 bucks and can get it stopped for a few months, I’ve succeeded for the time I need,

AT-105 is a great product, I know of some shops that use it for a temporary fix but it ends up lasting a while. It may get you through till the timing belt change interval.

Do you think it is better to add it before or after oil change??

I would add it to the next oil change interval, I personally like to use it with a High Mileage Oil as the oil has a seal conditioner in it already.
