I have 4 cylinder turbo found out engine compression
Is bad 1st cylinder 85 psi the rest 95.
Managed to find another engine only problem is cranking .
      Battery is fully charged 12.80v
I also checked timing is perfect.
I removed plugs and has no inlet manifold..
Got gearbox on with starter motor to crank it.

Now engine is off the car and im using jumper leads to crank it.
Got earth wire black touching starter body.
Got red wire on starter pin .
Got screw driver touching 1st and secondary pin of starter
engine struggles to turn and leads gets hot and its just not possible
      To check compression.
I was thinking maybe battey problem so I removed
battery from another car that I use daily and same thing.
      Any help thanks

If you can turn the motor by hand and have tried 2 different batteries.
It would appear the starter may have a issue.

Also check voltage drop in the cables. It the cable is taking too much voltage, it will make the starter spin slow, if at all.

              thanks for reply.
Starter is only 2 weeks old.
By watching this video gave me a better understanding

I assumed that my jumper leads were good enough after all I used them to jump cars in past.
              Will try find better wires
