Groaning sound

Lately, I noticed that my 1993, 3.5L, V6 Dodge Intrepid emits an audible “groaning-like sound”. The engine oil is new, the catalytic converter is new, power steering fluid id full, and although I will have to schedule a transmission leak service, the transmission oil is always monitored and at the right level at normal operating temperature.

What could be causing this seemingly rough and groaning-like sound ?

      Thanks,

      Sal

If it’s there all the time, look for a bad bearing on one of the pulleys and tensioners on the belts.

It’s very difficult for us to tell you what the noise is without hearing it for ourselves. If you could post a video, that would be great. In the mean time, you might want to check out the information in this article.
