Hi, new member here. I’m a tech who is new in the business, I have just under two years in. Working as a lubie doing brakes and light chassis work. Been working at a dealer and I have seen for myself why it is not recommended for young techs to cut their teeth at a dealer; you get pigeonholed into being just a lube guy pretty easily.
One thing I’ll admit is that I am a pretty nerdy guy. For example, I have a stack of comic books in my toolbox that I read on my lunchbreaks and Regina Spektor is my dream date. So yeah.
I am running a fleet of orphan cars at the moment. I own a Mercury Milan as my daily driver and a 91 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme International as my project.
I first discovered Eric a couple years ago when a friend of mine directed me towards his channel. I learned quite a bit from the videos and really came to liking him after reading his story and learning about how he pulled himself up from a rock bottom period in his life through his love of working on cars. My story is very similar to that, though I don’t think I was ever in a situation as shitty as Eric’s. I don’t want to bore anyone with the details but I’ll be happy to share my story if you really want to know.
So anyways, enough about me, nice to meet you all.
