First post here, been watching the videos every once in a while.

Anyways, my main problem is with my 93 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.0L. The car has never ran exactly perfect ever since I bought it, but it was a solid starter car and I absolutely love it, especially for the snow. As of late I have been having what I assume would be transmission problems and figured this would be the best spot to ask.

On long drives (hour and a half between school and home) the overdrive starts to act funny about halfway through the drive. Acting funny as in it will kick on and off and on and off just about every five seconds, creating a very unpleasant ride as you can imagine. I hit the button to turn overdrive off and the problem goes away, I’m assuming purely because the overdrive is deactivated. After the drive my transmission will struggle to shift, usually the engine will be just about red lining before it shifts and it will lurch into gear, which concerns me for obvious reason. This erratic shifting will go on for a couple days and then it usually returns to normal. The fluid is at an acceptable level, not too low, not too high. Other than that I’m pretty much clueless.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
