Does anyone have access to GM diagrams and could show me if there is a difference in the fuel tank design on a 2000 Chevy Camaro base 3.8L and a 2000 Chevy Camaro Z28 5.7L. I have a customer who says while he was preforming the task of changing the fuel pump using the cutting a hole thru the floor board method, he cut the plastic hose fitting coming from the fuel tank(circle in image)vent. I believe from the very few images I can find he is talking about the vapor fitting(unsure haven’t seen it myself yet). But he says he needs to replace the tank because it looks as if that unit isn’t removable. I found a tank from same year camaro with the 3.8L but can’t find out if just swapping the fuel pumps will make it usable in the Z28 5.7L.

Sorry about the image but had to use the only one on the net I could find. The circle and tube w/red line thru it is where he cut it he says.
