      Can a bad fuel pressure damper cause a multiple cylinder misfire at higher rpms?

        A fuel pressure regulator can cause a misfire under load yes.
        The fuel pressure regulator has to increase fuel pressure under
        load to keep up with motor load demand. I don’t know what your
        working on to tell you how to check it.

          The fuel pressure damper is used to absorb pulses or waves in the fuel line (hydraulic noise)….it does not regulate fuel pressure….I don’t think it will cause a misfire

            I aslo do not think it would cause a misfire. That is, unless it was leaking. More info on misfires can be found here.
