FUEL GAUGE DOESN’T MARK WRIGHT

I have a 2000 chevy Express 2500 with a 5.7L V8 and I have a fuel gauge that doesn’t mark correct and was wonder how to test. it had a bad fuel pump so i replaced it with a new pump and sending unit so i know the sending unit is good.
