Hey i just bought a 1998 chevy malibu 6 cyl they had a new fuelpump put in and the fuel hand works backwards if that makes sense they said it worked before any suggestion on how to fix it? I know its getting power cause when you turn the key on it jumps up and when you turn the key off it jumps back down to the wrong side of empty. Is there a video for this fix Thanks for any help banana: Larry

see if this helps.Your fuel needle may be 180 deg out.

hey thanks so much for the info i went right out after i read what you sent me and used the bread tie and went threw where you reset trip miles and pused the fuel hand counter clock wise all the way down to the top of the stop pin where it should be when key is off I turned the key on and it went to about a quarter tank which should be right cause i could only go about another 60 or so miles before i had to get gas im going here in a min and put some gas in it ill let yaou yall know how it did YOU GUYS ROCK THANKS SO MUCH AGAIN Larry

ok it was almost on a quarter tank i went and put 10 dollars of gas in it the gas hand moved to almost a half tank so i beleive it is fixed ill keep a eye on it and let yall know AGAIN THANKS TO YALL Larry
