      Hello everyone,

      I want to change the fuel filter on

        Eric did a video on replacing a fuel pump in a 99 Taurus.

        You can watch the whole video for entertainment, or skip ahead to around 18:30, where he replaces the fuel filter and deals with those plastic clips. I’ve done the same as him on the ones I’ve done.

        Although actually, you might have different quick connect fittings that may require special tools, but they’re cheap. Remember though, they are ‘quick connect’, but not ‘quick disconnect’, so don’t get frustrated and break a line or something 🙂

          +1 on Beefy’s post. You can buy a generic fuel line disconnect set any any parts store. A common size for Ford is 3/8 i believe.

          The last one i did on a Taurus was the same way Eric replaced the one shown in the video but that one was a 99. With the vehi

            I think those are the same clips as the ones in the video I did on the 99 so all you need is a pocket screwdriver to pry them out, check the new filter to see if it comes with new clips as they often do and you’ll know for sure.

                    Hi guys,

                    posting back on the fuel filter change.You guys were right,same plastic clips as in Eric’s video.Popped them out with a pocket screw driver.installed the
                    new filter. new clips. checked for leaks.all good. Thanks again guys
