I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am. Monday morning it was fine, by the time my wife got off work it was a paper weight.. I’ve worked it down to a bad fuel pump so i had it towed to my mechanic. He put a new fuel pump in and it still wouldn’t start.. he tested the fuel pump i had and it is fine. he said there is very little voltage making it to the pump. all the fuses are good and the relays are good… what else could it be??

If your not getting the proper voltage to the pump.
You will need to find where the loss is. A wiring
diagram will be needed to start from a source of good
power and work your way back.here is a link for a wiring
diagram. Is there a security light flashing when you try
and start the car?No security light. I have in fact had that problem before because of a remote start install which caused a loss of power locks, trunk release, dome light, and brake lights. Maybe 4 years later this could be the same thing? Could the ecm be toasted?
Aftermarket add ons are always suspect, especially remote starters. Outside of that, it could be a wiring problem, connector problem, relay problem, or some other issue causing increased resistance in the system. More info here.
